National Christian Education and Children Ministries #09739A
The purpose of the project is to produce and distribute Christian education materials for Bible Studies, Sunday Schools and Vacation Bible Schools to meet the needs within all congregations of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Bolivia (IEMB).
National Education Project #13206A
The Evangelical Methodist Church in Bolivia (IEMB) began its first school in the country in 1907 at the invitation of the Bolivian government. The American Institute (Instituto Americano) was designed to include classes in religious instruction for Bolivian children in La Paz. Since that time, the educational work of the Church has expanded tremendously and continues to be the largest area of service for this now indigenous Bolivian national church. The National Education project enhances this tradition by providing support through training, infrastructure and materials.
National Lay Ministry Development Program #3020558
This program provides leadership, community development, politics, civic management and human rights training for lay persons across Bolivia.
Rio Colorado Technical Agriculture High School #12308A
The Rio Colorado Agriculture High School has functioned in the Amazon Rainforest basin of Bolivia since 1984 as a public school under the administration of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Bolivia (IEMB). The school provides a quality vocational and humanities middle and high school education to boys and girls from various indigenous communities in the department of the Beni and across the country. Despite its isolated rural location, the school offers computer, farm machinery, animal husbandry and other technical classes which are unavailable in other high schools in the area. Gifts to this project provide salaries for technical Bolivian personal, fuel for tractors and an electrical generator that provides power for lights, carpentry equipment and the computer laboratory.
Scholarships for Methodist Students #07748B
This project is directed primarily toward Aymara and Quechua youth from both rural and urban areas, who for economic reasons, are unable to continue their education at the university or junior college level. The principal objective is to provide loans and/or scholarships to these young people so they have the opportunity to continue their studies.
Thiu Rancho Project #12309A
The Thiu Rancho Center is the only Methodist retreat center in Bolivia. Due to its strategic location in the central city of Cochabamba, it is accessible to the entire national church. The mission of the Center includes Pastoral Formation, Evangelization, Retreat and Conference Center availability, solidarity with the local community and stewardship of God´s creation.
Training and Empowering Indigenous Leaders of Chimanes and Guaranies #3020493
This program addresses the ethnic and racial discrimination and exploitation of small and isolated ingenious populations. It seeks to evangelize and provide religious programs for some of the poorest people groups on earth.
University Center #3020567
This program supports university, seminary and high school students working towards success in their studies.
Urban Santa Cruz Children´s Ministry #12320A
It is estimated that some 20,000 children are on living on the streets of Santa Cruz, most existing in deteriorating family situations. Once on the street, they become participants in a pattern of behavior that includes drug and alcohol use, robbery and prostitution.
The Walter Henry Educational Complex, financed by the Urban Santa Cruz Children´s Ministry fund, is an outreach of the New Life (Nueva Vida) Church. The complex is designed to help children from marginal families continue in school, to strengthen families, and to offer possibilities and hope for a better chance in life.
